Branding & identity design
The goal of the project was to develop a brand identity for "imastaran," an art space that promotes cultural exchange and knowledge sharing. The branding needed to be versatile and adaptable to accommodate various types of events and activities, while capturing the essence of the space's dynamic and evolving nature.
The main challenge was to create a brand identity that could reflect the diversity and flexibility of the art space, accommodating different events, discussions, and installations. Additionally, finding a visual representation that captured the transformative and adaptive nature of the space posed a creative challenge.
To address these challenges, I developed a dynamic logo that could adjust to its surroundings, representing the ever-changing nature of "imastaran." The logo was designed to be flexible and versatile, allowing it to transform its shape, fill gaps, and seamlessly integrate into different contexts. This approach provided a visual representation of the art space's adaptability while maintaining a consistent brand presence.
During the initial phase, I conducted extensive research into the art space's values, mission, and target audience. Based on this research, I explored various visual concepts and design directions that would align with the flexible and dynamic nature of "imastaran." The goal was to develop a visual language that could capture the essence of the space and reflect its diverse range of activities.
In this phase, I focused on designing a logo that could adjust and transform to fit different applications. The logo was crafted to be fluid, allowing it to adapt its shape, size, and orientation as needed. The design showcased the concept of filling gaps and seamlessly integrating with its surroundings, symbolizing the flexibility and inclusivity of "imastaran" as an art space.
To ensure consistency across various touchpoints, I developed visual collateral such as posters, brochures, and digital assets that showcased the dynamic logo and incorporated the flexible visual elements of the brand. Additionally, I created brand guidelines that outlined the proper usage of the logo, color palettes, typography, and other design elements, providing a framework for maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
